Discover the True Adventure in Baliem Valley With Us
Introduction
Welcome to Papua! I am Iron Tabuni, a native Papuan and an independent trekking guide in the Baliem Valley. I assist people like you to participate in trekking adventures and connect with the indigenous families living in the Valley. It is my joy to help you experience true Highland Papuan culture. Together with my wife and two daughters, I live on the outskirts of Wamena. For my trekking tours, I hire only local Papuan people and do not use any middlemen. This allows me to offer you reasonably priced, high-quality programs where you can experience the real Papua. I guarantee that joining one of my programs will be a journey of a lifetime.
This third program is not a trekking, but involves leisurely walking and the use of local transport, where together with Us you explore the area around Wamena.
Arranging visits to the Lanijaya Ancestral Tombs, a place of historical and cultural significance for the local community.
Organizing adventure trekking journeys in the Baliem Valley, allowing customers to explore the unique natural beauty and culture of Papua.
Raja Ampat, located in West Papua, Indonesia, is a stunning archipelago known for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant coral reefs, and incredible biodiversity.
Discover the heart of Papua with our expertly guided trekking tours in the stunning Baliem Valley.
Programs
Currently, I have three programs to offer:
Baliem Valley Trekking (4, 5, or 6 days): You will visit and sleep in various villages, received by families I have built connections with over the years.
Three Days Visit to My Ancestral Village in Lanijaya Territory: This involves trekking on the first and third days, and on the second day, you will meet with villagers to experience how they live.
Local Program Around Wamena (1 or 2 days): This is not a trekking tour but involves leisurely walking and the use of local transport to explore the area around Wamena, the capital of our regency.
Trekking
During the Baliem Valley trekking, we will walk several hours each day with many breaks. We will pass through valleys and hillsides, with different scenery every few hours. The hike is not difficult, as you will have someone with you who carries the larger part of your luggage. In the evening, we will settle in one of the villages in the Baliem Valley for a sleeping place. Meals will be served in the morning, afternoon, and evening. To cater to your taste and possible dietary requirements, we will buy food together as much as possible.
Support Team
During the trek, you will be supported by a team of local Papuans who will ensure your safety and comfort throughout the journey.
